Castles in the air

When it becomes clear that it is no longer possible to live the future you have built for yourself and another in your head, it’s hard to dismantle it, but sometimes brick by brick that’s what has to be done.  You have to tear down that castle in the air so you can build a new one.  On firmer air, with stronger stone.

  1. It’s a bit of a paradox though, isn’t it? Stronger stone can outweigh the firmer air and you still find yourself in the same place, the same situation, again having to rebuild the castle. Maybe we should simply contend with floating around the air and not try to build much of anything, simply stay close to each other and hold hands, if that’s what we want.
